I like food. We all do!!
Food, family and community!
The kitchen is usually our central room, and very functional. Let’s enjoy it more !
We help to turn your dreams and visions for this space into reality, in a practical and economical way. Investopedia says kitchen renos have some of the highest returns when selling, but equally important is to enjoy the renos and the space while you’re still there! We use high quality production cabinets with excellent features, or create our own, for that perfect, special look and fit. Give a call and we can discuss your ideas and how to bring them to reality !
Every kitchen is different, but here are some samples of some kitchen projects completed recently;
This kitchen expanded the front entrance from a small doorway, changing the feel of both sides. The cabinets are a combination of stock cabinets and our custom made cabinets to fit their desires and budget. The stove and fridge were switched to give light and line of sight from the hallway to the backyard, making the whole space feel much larger.
This beautiful kitchen has custom made cabinets (by us) to fit the space and aspirations of what they were looking for. They wanted cabinets to the ceiling, all hardwood fronts, and no headers or spaces. The fridge was moved to the left off the photo for a nicer workflow and a dishwasher added. The other side of the kitchen has a nice oiled maple butchers block for meal prep and rolling dough ! Fun fact: the kitchen remained usable (by necessity) the entire reno!
This kitchen had the wall and a closet removed, and completely changed kitchen format to open the kitchen and the house. The first photo would be the view as you walk in the front door, a nice open, inviting space. This kitchen used custom cabinetry (by us) and stock items combined to best utilize the space and the desired look of the final room.
A wonderful retro look kitchen, keeping and fixing original cupboards, new floor and slick rolling island. The original stove overhung the doorway, and had no exhaust fan. This was fixed by modifying the original cabinets and including a new wanted recipe book nook and a pullout spice drawer, creating more space for the stove to have a proper fit. An exhaust fan, venting outside, also gave some more light to the cooking area.
This was a recycled kitchen, obtained through charity, modified and installed to replace a kitchen that was falling apart. When I do kitchens, where possible the cabinets and usable components are reused or given to charity to help someone else, and keep them out of the landfill. The rolling island was a huge help to them, for the extra storage, and the extra counter space when needed for large prep meals.
Either from damage or for updating, replacing countertops, and/or backsplashes can drastically change the look and feel of your kitchen, without the expense of replacing all the cabinets. The island was also shortened to be level from a two tiered type of island.
A new backsplash, matching nicely with the cabinets, and a new floor to tie the pieces together and provide a fresh, unified look to the space.
